We hebben 1 nachtje geslapen, het ging mij om de architectuur, die was echt prachtig. Heerlijk zwembad en het strand is op loopafstand. Hans gaf een super duidelijke uitleg en reageerde meteen. Ook heeft hij ons voorzien van genoeg tips voor de omgeving.

Like living inside a museum. 😀 - I simply loved this house, it was more than I imagined. Even if the price is high the experience is amazing. You feel like living into a work of art, inside a musem. It is the dream of every architect or engineer. I recomend at least two nights here to really feel this stay. The popl is amazing and the view over the Calpe also breathtaking. 😞 - None

La urbanización es preciosa. A cualquier amante de la arquitectura le fascinará, además había material de lectura para los adultos y juguetes para los pequeños. Hay que tener en cuenta que tiene muchos desniveles así que no es apto si la movilidad no es tu fuerte. Los detalles para los huéspedes abundan y el anfitrión estuvo siempre muy pendiente. Lo recomiendo sin dudas para un par de días tranquilos. Además la piscina es un oasis. Recomendable también usar repelente si estás en el exterior. Porque es una zona boscosa y hay 🦟 y ardillas 🐿️ (muy graciosas). Excelente atención y un paisaje inmejorable.

Such a nice and beautiful place to stay and we wish we could stay longer! The place looks exactly like the pictures (if not even more beautiful). We were able to walk around the building and admire the amazing architectural design by Bofill.

I’ve been wanting to stay at La Muralla Roja for over a year and I couldn’t be more happy with my experience. It was even more stunning in person, the Airbnb was beautiful and very well taken care of and Hans and Isabella were quick at responding, so helpful and very friendly. The architect Ricardo Bofill was an absolute genius in his designs and capturing light and creating what feels like a picture frame of the landscape around. It was an amazing experience from start to finish and I would recommend it.

This may honestly have been the best stay ever. I had been dreaming of staying at La Muralla Roja and when I saw Han’s listing I jumped at the opportunity!

The place itself was gorgeous, very well made and super clean. I almost felt guilty to be staying solo — it’s a place you want to share.

I was met by the housekeeper who talked me through some things about the place — unfortunately for me I don’t speak Spanish but we made it work!

I did manage to get myself briefly locked out once when the wind blew the door shut behind me. Thankfully, I met one of the neighbouring residents and they were able to arrange someone to open it up for me — Everyone I met was super lovely and helpful which made the stay even better.

Overall, an incredibly memorable stay (one I’ll never forget!). Hans is the sweetest — thank you again for letting me stay ☺️

The most beautiful iconic complex - we couldn’t believe it. Was so special to sit and listen to the sea on the terrace with morning coffee. The apartment was spotless and well equipped. Would not hesitate to return.

La Muralla Roja itself is a visual stunner, and the room I stayed in perfectly echoed its beauty – clean, modern, and exactly as pictured. Hans and Isablla truly made the experience exceptional. Friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond with recommendations for delicious local restaurants and even helped me navigate the transportation system. The apartment itself was a haven of comfort and convenience, fully equipped with everything from cookware and towels to basic food items and a TV for movie nights. Plus, the hygiene was impeccable. A breathtaking view of the sea right from the window!

Résidence architecturale magnifique! L’air bnb correspond aux photo, propre, confort et tout équipé. Hans est super réactif!

Ein einzigartiges Apartment in einem architektonisch einzigartigen Haus! 😀 - Hervorragende Lage (im Erdgeschoss - reduziert die Möglichkeit für Stufen), großartige Ausstattung, sehr sauber. Der Vermieter ist ein Deutscher, das erleichtert die Kommunikation ungemein. Das Haus noch viel besser, als auf den Fotos. Ein Muss für jeden Architekturliebhaber!!! 😞 - Stufen muss man mögen, die gibt es auch innerhalb des Apartments - noch viel mehr im übrigen Haus (es gibt keinen funktionierenden Lift).

In spite of changing weather conditions, our children stay was wonderful. Hans was very helpful and responsive, as well as the lady-Isa- who welcomed them. The apartment was very clean and looked like the pictures. The terrace outside offers wonderful views on the sea and the Penon. Last, but not least, the Muralla Roja is a unique place imagined by a genius in architecture and you really have the feeling to be there on another planet! We definitely recommend this place!

We had a fantastic stay at the truly iconic La Muralla Roja, an amazing experience in a beautiful location.

You have access to all public areas of the building that cannot be seen from the outside, including the roof top pool.

The apartment was exactly as described, spotless with everything we needed including an impressive surround sound system with Netflix, Disney+ and amazon prime.

We really enjoyed Hans restaurant recommendation as well.

The place was beautiful. I was able to take so many lovely pictures. Hans might have the most beautiful home at La Muralla Roja. There is a window that has such stunning light coming through in the mornings. It felt so peaceful. Would happily stay here again!

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Hans's loft. Hans was very friendly and responsive, and even offered to pick me up from the bus station! It was my dream to stay at this architecture masterpiece by Ricardo Bofill for a long time, and Hans's place was just perfect for it! Gorgeous terraces with sea views, very peaceful and private, spacious and airy, with lots of natural light, super clean and has all the amenities you could possibly need. Can't recommend it enough and will definitely be back!

The reason we booked the Airbnb is to visit Appartment La Muralla Roja. But honestly the inside room layout is amazing as well. You will be listening to the waves the whole night and watching the sunrise at home. This is amazing apartment. Selve leiligheten var stor og ren og samsvarte med bildebeskrivelsen. Vi møtte ikke Hans, men Isabella var veldig hyggelig og imøtekommende og kommuniserte godt via app da hun ikke snakket engelsk. A perfect stay at MR Loft! Booked on short notice, Hans was extremely responsive and helpful. He gave us clear instructions and was flexible on the time of our arrival. The apartment was beautiful, clean and decorated very nicely - plus very big! Hans was friendly and cheeky, he helped show us around the place and to the pool. Muralla Roja is incredible, as is the loft - stay there! We also recommend visiting Calp Old Town and restaurante Lapsus!

Lovely stay at Hans’ loft. I’m a fan of the building and decided to celebrate my birthday here, so had lots of expectations but they were all met - the flat has lots of outdoor areas and is very bright, being also relatively close to restaurants and the beach. Muralla Roja is simply one of the prettiest buildings I’ve ever seen, feel very lucky for the opportunity to stay here!

Para nosotros fue emocionante alojarnos en un edificio tan emblemático como este. Sabíamos que no es particulamente cómodo en su habitabilidad pero justamente el alojamiento de Hans ubicado en la parte baja lo hace perfecto. La vivienda posee un equipamiento muy completo (muchísimo mejor que muchas otras viviendas que se ofertan en esta plataforma): artículos de baño, menaje de cocina, alimentos básicos, equipo de televisión y audio, ropa de cama y toallas, etc; es muy espaciosa para dos personas, sorprendentemente fresca y con un espacio exterior muy agradable. Estuvimos en la primera quincena de julio y destacaríamos también la nula sensación de masificación, la ausencia de ruidos, la presencia de vigilante y la hermosa piscina. Hans estuvo pendiente de nuestras necesidades y se mostró cercano y afable.

Han’s place is nothing short of amazing! It’s literally packed with everything you need plus some! He was a very attentive host and made sure everything was taken care of. The flexibility and communication was top notch. The location and complex are truly amazing. I’ve already recommended this place to colleagues and will continue to recommend to others.

This place is a dream! Well stocked and clean. Very spacious! Parking was easy but the town is very walkable if you don’t have a car. Would highly recommend for a colorful and relaxing weekend in the south of Spain!

The apartment is on the ground level thus you’ll have direct access to the terrace that has a fantastic sea view. Hans was very responsive to our queries and was always there to assist. The access to the marvellous building is beautiful, one need days for enjoying the whole fascinating building, pool is fresh and excellent. The views from the building are gorgeous. Hans is a perfect host. The property is absolutely spectacular and he was kind to show me around. The apartment itself is big and perfectly organized and equipped. From walking around it seems to be one of the better units on the grounds. The terrace is great and fairly private, and overall the whole place is very quiet. Make sure you swim in the pool! Such a great place! This must be one of the best situated apartments in the amazing Muralla Roja which in itself is a must see. The flat is a great size, nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and well equipped . The terrace is huge, nicely planted and in a quiet corner overlooking the sea great for sunbathing. Rooftop pool in the building is not to be missed….quite an adventure to find it at first but once you do you will be glad you did! Hans is a great host and all went really smooth with helpful restaurant recommendations thrown in. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We had an amazing time staying at Hans' apartment at the La Murralla Roja. It was a really nice and unique opportunity to stay at and explore this incredible piece of architecture. The apartment was really large and beautifully decorated. It had everything you could need and we appreciated the extra little touches such as milk and biscuits for our tea. Hans' was a great host. We also loved having a swim at the little rocky beach right next to apartment (just remember your swim shoes).

We stayed in Hans’s apartment for a couple of nights and we were very happy there. It’s clean, air conditioned, well equipped and with a comfortable bed. Días muy gratos en un apartamento muy bien cuidado y mantenido, con un equipamiento completo hasta en el último detalle. Permite además disfrutar de la experiencia de recorrer el singularísimo edificio de la Muralla Roja, que, además de lo sugestivo que es en sí, tiene una magnífica ubicación. Anfitrión muy atento y amable, bien dispuesto a resolver cualquier problema o necesidad. Muy recomendable.

La casa de Hans es maravillosa, súper completa y estoy segura de que cuenta con la mejor terraza de la urbanización. Al tener de todo, súper limpio y moderno, te sientes como en casa. Además la decoración es luminosa, marítima y minimalista. La terraza da al mar y el sonido de las olas te berce al dormir. El entorno rodeado de flores y plantas es súper agradable, y el acceso fácil al estar en la planta baja. Súper recomendable, además la comunicación fue perfecta ! Maite y Hans son realmente adorables, volveremos !

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would! Our communication with Hans and Maite was lovely, we felt that we knew them for a long time. They are a friendly, smiley, personable, a real delight to meet them. Their love for the Muralla is obvious in every little touch. The house is equipped with everything one could need and more. They provided us with breakfast, water, coffee and tea and made us feel at home from the first moment. The building itself is a delight to explore even off period. It's quiet, very well maintained with wonderful views at the sea and the Calpe beach. It's a very short walk to the town of Calpe which has nice little restaurants and bars. Altea is a short 10 minute drive and there's a lot more to explore in the area.

It is a true experience to spend a few days in la Muralla Roja, a true gem in Calpe and we highly recommend Hans and Maite's apartment. We will definitely come back soon!

Staying in the Muralla Roja is a wonderful experience, especially if you love unique architecture. Hans and his wife are so helpful and are keen to help their guests enjoy every minute of their stay. Lovely to find fresh fruit, food in the fridge, some sweet treats and fresh water. Traveling alone by public transport, I really appreciated being picked up from/dropped off at the bus station at the start and end of my stay. Very temped to return later in the year when its warm enough to use the rooftop pool!.

This airbnb is perfect! The location is obviously magical and it’s exciting enough just to be in the space, but Hans make it very easy to figure out how to navigate the space while also being cordial and understanding to the tenants that live there full time. The apartment had everything you need, towels for the beach/pool, espresso, water, washing machine, amazing TV, plus streaming services already to go, and more. Key handoff was easy and there is a perfect parking spot for you right next to the entrance of the apartment. There are nice restaurants right down by the beach which is a short walk from the apartment and you get the pass Xanadu and Anitfeatro, two other Bofill buildings, on the walk. A little bar right on the sad was a great spot for an aperitif before dinner too. If you plan on staying at Muralla Roja this is the space to do it. Also only about 30 minutes away is Cala Moraig which was one of the best beaches we’ve been too if you have a car handy and some free time to explore the surrounding areas. Again, can’t thank Hans enough and would recommend to anyone!

Hans' house is very good, which is located in the residential building. The location of the first floor saves us from the trouble of carrying heavy luggage and climbing stairs. Hans and his wife are very kind and warm-hearted, and they would also solve our problems and reply quickly. In addition, the house is also very large, things are very complete facilities, also has hot water and wifi, in short, very recommended Hans house!!

Hands down my best Airbnb experience since I have been using this platform ! Nothing negative to say. Not only is the place beautiful and unique, but Hans thoughtfully left food and fresh drinks in the fridge for our arrival and let us check out late so we could enjoy the place as long as we wanted. It’s very bright, clean and has an outdoor area. Already thinking of coming back 🙂

The place is beautiful and clean. Hans was able to greet us upon check-in and directions were very clear. It’s more beautiful in person and very safe. We were able to walk around the city at night comfortably. He suggested restaurants in the area, and drove us to the city upon check out. I cannot emphasize how hospitable Hans is. We were well taken care of.

El mejor apartamento para estar en la Muralla Roja 😀 - Si vas a la Muralla Roja y quieres que la estancia esté al nivel de la maravilla arquitectónica en la que está ubicada, este alojamiento es TOP, ubicación mejor imposible, sonido del mar todo el rato, luz espectacular, apartamento premium en todos los aspectos y los anfitriones son lo mejor de lo mejor, cuidandote al maximo para que la experiencia en la Muralla Roja sea lo más!! Not only is the Muralla Roja one of the most magical places ever and a postmodern casbah of endless photo opportunities, Hans's beautiful spacious studio apartment made the stay feel like a true getaway relaxing vacation. Hans is the consummate host and super responsive for every possible need or want. The apartment itself is very cozy and homey with every amenity one could wish for, with an outdoor seating area and beautiful views and the sound of the ocean waves at night. It's rare that you have the opportunity to actually live in an architectural masterpiece, and especially in such comfort and style. Lovely apartment with great communication and check-in. Hans is a great host and would recommend this to anyway looking to stay here. Great access from the carpark too!

Hans’ place was extremely excellent with stunning outdoors’ views and clean facilities. The kitchen and bathroom were full-equipped. Hans gave us a warm welcome and prepared food, baby toys and high chairs beforehand. We all had a good memory there and would like to be back again if get chance. High recommend for family trips.
