The one apartment to look for if you’re going to stay at La Muralla Roja. Han’s place is tastefully decorated and very well stocked up - One of the best host I’ve come across on Airbnb. The apartment is on the ground level thus you’ll have direct access to the terrace that has a fantastic sea view. Hans was very responsive to our queries and was always there to assist. Highly recommended!

Hans is a really great host, he helped me manage a surprise for my girlfriend, and the place is really clean and quite, recommend here if you are visiting Calpe!

This stay was one of the best ever in my life! Hans is a great Gastgeber, really helpfully with great advices, danke Hans! The loft is cosy, clean and beautiful, bed is 1a. The access to the marvellous building is beautiful, one need days for enjoying the whole fascinating building, pool is fresh and excellent. The views from the building are gorgeous. It‘s calm, beautiful plants everywhere. The beach is nearby, the sea wonderful. We really liked it a lot in this wonderful place! Highly recommended!! Karin and Lilly

Hans is a perfect host. The property is absolutely spectacular and he was kind to show me around. The apartment itself is big and perfectly organized and equipped. From walking around it seems to be one of the better units on the grounds. The terrace is great and fairly private, and overall the whole place is very quiet. Make sure you swim in the pool! Probably one of the best Airbnbs I've stayed in. Thank you Hans!

Fantastic stay and it goes without saying what amazing architecture. The apartment had all the modern cons and home comforts you could wish for. Hans was a fantastic responsive host and made great effort to ensure our stay was pleasant. Would love to book again in future.

This bad review is not about the property, but a little bit about the manager and the cleaning lady. First of all, let me start with the good thing then move on to bad ones. We are very grateful for Hans’ flexibility in accommodating our late arrival. It’s much appreciated. The house itself is very charming and clean. Bed was okay, can be better. House amenities are excellent. Here’s the bad thing about this rental property. Let’s be honest, the main attraction to rent this property is the uniqueness of the apartment complex. But unfortunately, Hans and the cleaning lady won’t be flexible enough for letting guest capturing the uniqueness of the property and causing scene by yelling and screaming at us. First of all, there’s nothing in the listing that stated we can’t stay at the apartment complex after checking out nor who should open/close the gate for us. We wanted to stay until 1pm to capture the building, the cleaning lady asked €50 for an hour extra to wait for us to leave the building(mind you, the cleaning cost of the apt is €60 for 2hours). We decided not to go with that ridiculous ask and try finishing our shoot by 12pm. However, when we went around the apartment building, we met the maintenance guy and asked him to kindly let us out at 1pm (at no cost, just out of his kindness), and he agreed. I told Hans about this plan so the cleaning lady can leave without waiting for us. Instead of letting us do our thing, the lady confronted the maintenance guy and TOLD HIM NOT TO HELP US because she thought we gave him money. She is so jealous and greedy that she YELLED at us and THREATEN us. FYI, you can get out of the apartment very easily because people come in and out very often. So we really don’t understand why it is a big deal for them to ask us to get out at 12pm. They have all our information and all we did was taking pictures. They didn’t need to be rude and ASK FOR MORE MONEY then be upset because we found a way to stay longer without paying them. I understand if they ask for more money when we are still at their property, but our prolong stay was not in their apartment and have nothing to do with them. My suggestion, either they can make this check out process clear on their house rule, state it clearly on their listing the extra fee to let people take picture longer, or be kind enough to let people mind their own business. I really wish I can leave a better comment because Hans was super helpful in the beginning. But he could definitely handle the situation with cleaning lady better. Very disappointing that his focus is to get more and more money instead of giving a great hospitality. After all, I was about to give the lady tips but with that attitude, I didn’t think she deserves one.

Had a wonderful time at the airbnb and in Calpe. Hans was helpful. He recommended some places to eat around town and arranging a ride back to Valencia for me. This is a great apartment to consider if you are interested in checking out the building - it is spacious and gets plenty of light in the summer.

La Muralla Roja is simply stunning — truly beyond belief. What an amazing way to experience this place. Highly, highly recommend. Also, the rooftop pool is out of this world! Hans and Isabel were very communicative and helpful.

Such a great place! This must be one of the best situated apartments in the amazing Muralla Roja which in itself is a must see. The flat is a great size, nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and well equipped . The terrace is huge, nicely planted and in a quiet corner overlooking the sea great for sunbathing. Rooftop pool in the building is not to be missed….quite an adventure to find it at first but once you do you will be glad you did! Hans is a great host and all went really smooth with helpful restaurant recommendations thrown in. Can’t recommend highly enough.
